ACORT unites 30 largest
retail companies of Russia
The new Presidium composition was elected at the annual meeting of the Retail Companies Association
On June 2 in Moscow as a part of the Russian Retail Week has passed the annual general meeting of the Retail Companies Association, which was attended by the heads of the largest retail chains in the country and top managers of ACORT company members.
ACORT Executive Director Andrey Karpov made a report on the main results of the Presidium and the Executive Directorate of the Association work in 2014. Participants discussed the priorities for 2015, in particular the industry regulatory issues and the opportunities of retail trade self-regulation.
At the meeting was also decided to expand the Presidium from 10 to 11 members and elected its new composition, which included Sergey Galitskiy, Magnit, Stephan Ducharme, X5 Retail Group, Ilya Yakubson, DIXY, Boris Minialai, METRO Cash & Carry Russia , Jean-Pierre Germain, Auchan, Jan Dunning, Lenta, Heigo Kera, O’Key, Alexander Tynkovan, M.Video, Nikolay Fartushnyak, Sportmaster, Vugar Isaev, Snow Queen, and also proposed by Chairman of the ACORT Presidium Ilya Yakubson – Ilya Lomakin-Rumyantsev. Elected the new composition of the ACORT Audit Committee.
At the ACORT Presidium meeting held immediately after the general meeting was made the decision, according to which for several months during the transitional period, Ilya Lomakin-Rumyantsev will be co-Chairman of the Presidium, and then Ilya Yakubson leaves his post.
"The Association is now at such a high development level and solves so ambitious tasks that to combine leadership in it with Executive officer position of the company is becoming increasingly difficult. I am grateful to the colleagues who supported the idea of renewal and have decided to hire an independent professional," – commented the decision Ilya Yakubson.
Ilya Yakubson headed ACORT since 2011. The Association members highly praised the work of the Chairman at the annual meeting, noting his contribution to the development of self-regulation, competitive business environment and business ethics.
LOMAKIN-RUMYANTSEV ILYA VADIMOVICH
Born on September 5, 1957, in Moscow.
1974-1979 - Lomonosov MSU, faculty of economics, specialty - planning of national economy,
1979-82, he is the postgraduate studies at Lomonosov MSU, Candidate of economic sciences.
He began his career at the Central Economics and Mathematics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1992-93 worked as the Head of the science, culture and education Department of the Council of Ministers of the Government of the Russian Federation, and later headed the Moscow city Fund of compulsory medical insurance, Insurance supervision Department of the Ministry of Finance.
In 2001-2004 he was a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, in 2004-2009 headed the Federal Service for Insurance Supervision, and in 2009-2011 - Presidential Experts’ Directorate of the Russian Federation.
Currently involved in the work of the Boards of Directors of several companies (HMLA, Rosgosstrakh, LLC "Agency for the development of economic institutions", etc.), head of the Council of Rosfinnadzor, Audit Council of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Council for strategic development of the Russian Post.
Married, two daughters.
The Retail Companies Association established in 2001 on the initiative of market participants and in the interests of creating the necessary conditions for civilized Russian retail market formation and development.
The Association, as an instrument of collective protection of the interests of its members, allows engaging in a dialogue with state bodies, public associations, unions and associations as efficiently as possible.
